Orix Buffaloes announced on the 7th that Shota Abe pitcher (33) visited a hospital in Osaka City on the 6th and was diagnosed with a left semitendinosus muscle injury. He took the mound in the 8th inning immediately after winning 3 runs in the Nippon-Ham 5th game (ESCON) on the 5th, which achieved his first promotion of the season, and scored 3 runs including Tamiya's solo. When facing Gunji with two outs and first base, he injured the area near the back of his left thigh and left the game in 4 hit 3 runs in the 2/3 inning.

He was removed from the active roster on the 6th. The right-handed pitcher in his sixth professional season, who had been trying out a new form this season with his arm positioned more to the side, hoping to bounce back after only 16 appearances in 2013, was unfortunately sidelined after just one game.
