Orix Buffaloes of Sean Hjelle pitcher has joined the first team. He is the tallest player ever with major league experience, 213 cm, and is a new assistant right fielder. He was scheduled to be in the opening day rotation, but had to avoid the March 29 Rakuten Eagles game (Kyocera Dome Osaka) in order to prioritize his conditioning.
He has been working out in the minor leagues and emphasized that he is fully prepared, saying, "I'm ready to go anytime." He is scheduled to make his debut in the game against Nippon-Ham on the 5th (ES CON FIELD).
