◆ Pacific League Nippon-Ham 7-1 Lotte (April 2nd, ES CON FIELD)

Lotte's starting pitcher Nishino struggled, giving up six runs in six innings, resulting in their first loss of the season. The offense managed only one run, a solo home run by Terachi in the seventh inning, and they failed to win their second consecutive series of the season.

Polanco appeared at "No. 4, DH" starting line-up but hit his own ball near his left knee in his second at-bat in the 4th inning. He missed this at bat struck out and was replaced in the 6th inning by Yamaguchi, who was sent in to bat for him. After the game, he walked to the aisle behind third base and said, "Daijobu! and emphasized that he was safe. Manager Saburo also said, "I'm fine," and it is believed that he was not seriously injured.
