Lotte catcher Ryusei Terachi (20) started starting line-up as the "number 5 batter and third baseman." In the 7th inning with no outs and no runner on base and trailing by 6 runs, he hit line drive drive solo home run off Nippon-Ham 's second left-handed pitcher, Uehara, into the right field stands.
"It was a fastball. The score difference was wide and the team was feeling down, so as the leadoff hitter I went for it aggressively. I'm glad I was able to connect with it well," he said, reflecting on his first home run.
