◆ Pacific League Seibu Lions 3-7 Orix Buffaloes (August 2nd, Belluna Dome)
Orix Buffaloes came from behind to win, securing their second consecutive series win since the start of the season. Starting pitcher Miyagi, the team's ace, took mound five days after his opening game against Rakuten Eagles on March 27th (Kyocera Dome Osaka), where he was pulled after giving up eight runs in 1 2/3 innings, tying his personal worst. He made solid adjustments, relying on his fastball which reached a top speed of 149 km/h, and delivered a strong performance of six innings, allowing six hit and strike out runs striking out eight to earn his first win of the season. This game marked his 50th career win in NPB. Reaching this milestone in his 117th game is the fastest for a left-handed pitcher in the team's history and the third fastest overall in franchise history.
In the fifth inning, trailing by one run, Ohshiro hit a go-ahead two-run single to right field with two outs and runners on second and third. In the sixth inning, Ota hit doble and Nakagawa hit his second home run of the season, a three-run shot, adding four more runs. In the eighth inning, Ota hit his second RBI single.
