◆ Seibu Lions Pacific League: Seibu vs. Orix Buffaloes (August 2nd, Belluna Dome)

Seibu Lions Lions pitcher Shinnosuke Hada joined the first team on the 2nd.

He made five appearances as reliever in the minor leagues, recording a top speed of 158 km/h despite an ERA of 7.20. Having spent the spring in the second and third team camps due to poor physical condition, he joined the first team in the sixth game of the season and said with a shy smile, "I'm happy. If I'm going to pitch, I'd rather pitch in the first team. It's fun no matter where I pitch, but I'm happy."

Haneda recorded the fastest pitch ever by a Japanese player in a first-team regular season last season, reaching 160 km/h.
