◆ Pacific League Seibu Lions 0-4 Orix Buffaloes (August 1st, Belluna Dome)

Orix Buffaloes pitcher Anderson Espinoza threw 110 pitches, allowing only 5 hit and striking strike out 7, recording his first shutout game win in his 46th NPB game. His first child, a son named Kenzo, was born on February 25th, making this "first win as a dad" an even more joyous reward. On the victory platform, he radiated happiness, saying, "Kenzo has brought me good fortune. Now I have an added obligation to bring the championship flag back to Osaka."

Next, he showed off his sharp Kansai dialect. "Hello everyone, this is SP. Thank you so much for your support today. Orix Buffaloes fans are the best. We'll do our best again this year. It's really cold, everyone, so please be careful. Good work everyone!" he said with a smile and waved, receiving warm applause from Orix Buffaloes fans who had packed the opposing team's stadium.
