On March 11th, the Chiba Lotte Chiba Lotte Marines played an exhibition game against the Orix Buffaloes at Zozo Marine Stadium, with Orix Buffaloes win 4-3.

In the top of the third inning, Orix Buffaloes took the lead with an RBI doble by Yuma Mune after an error by the opposing team put a runner on second with one out. In the top of the fifth inning, Orix was trailing by one point, but with one out and a runner on first, they took the lead with an RBI doble by Sho Gibo and sacrifice fly by Ryoma Nishikawa.

Starting pitcher Shumpeita Yamashita was in a pinch in the bottom of the third inning, allowing Walk and an infield hit, and gave up two runs on a wild pitch and sacrifice fly. He also walked the leadoff hitter in the bottom of the sixth, and allowed an RBI Walk to Polanco. He threw 95 pitches in 5.2 innings, allowing four hit, three walks, six Walk strike out three runs before being removed from the game.

With the score tied at 3-3 in the top of the ninth inning, Kazuya Katsuki hit, pinch runner Jo Endo stolen base second, and with two outs and a runner on third base, Ryo Ota hit a timely hit to take Kaisei Tomatsu. With a one-run lead in the bottom of the ninth, pitcher Kaisei Higashimatsu closer the team to victory, securing Orix Buffaloes 's second consecutive win. Yuma Mune was a key player in the batting lineup, with three hit one RBI, and one stolen base.

Meanwhile, Chiba Lotte Marines suffered their fourth consecutive loss in the exhibition games. Starting pitcher Shuta Ishikawa gave up six hits, no hit, five Hit by Pitch strike out three runs (0 earned runs) in five innings. Ryusei Ogawa fought hard with two hit and one stolen base.
