Lotte allowed Nippon-Ham and Haruki Hosono pitcher (24) to no hitter and were robbed of 12 struck out, losing their second consecutive no-no. It was the first time in two years that the team was no-no'd since June 7, 2024, when they were humiliated by Hiroshima's Osera.

After the game, manager Saburo took responsibility, saying, "Of course Hosono played well, but it's my fault for using this lineup."

"I felt like I couldn't even touch either his fastball or slider," he said, acknowledging his admiration. Looking ahead to the second game of the series on April 1st, he encouraged his players, saying, "We just have to accept it. This result is a consequence of our lack of skill. I just hope that each of us can learn from today's mistakes."
