Nippon-Ham 's starting pitcher, Haruki Hosono, achieved no hitter. This is the 91st no-hitter in professional baseball, and the 103rd overall. It is the first no-hitter for the team since Ponce in 2022.
In the first inning, Hosono walked the leadoff batter, Walk, but then got Fujiwara to hit into a double play momentum.
When he closer the 2nd and 3rd innings with a 3-way retirement, in the 4th inning, he stole two bases on runner of the Hit by Pitch and had 2 outs and 2 bases and runner in scoring position, but he escaped the pinch by finishing off Polanco in the 4th with a struck out. In the 5th inning, he took Soto with a straight swing of 150 kg and struck out, and closer to a three-way retirement.
