Nippon-Ham, who had their home opener, made a big inning with 7 runs in the second inning.
With one out in the second inning and runners on first and second, Mizuno's pitcher infield hit induced bad throw to score one run, and Tamiya hit a timely shot to right. Mizuno, who had also reached home on a three-run homer by Yamagata, added a third run on a fielder’s choice that was safe on a request.
Mizutani followed with a single to struck out, but Sachi Kiyomiya followed with his third run, a single to the right-center field stands with two outs. Reyes followed with a solo shot over the left field wall, his first of the season, to score seven runs off of Lotte starter Kimura.
Nippon-Ham started the season with three straight losses, but their offense was active, hitting eight Home Run in the first three games. Back-to-back home runs by Yuki Kiyomiya and Reyes brought the team's total to 10 Home Run already.
