Nippon-Ham infielder Kotaro Kiyomiya hit his third Home Run of the season in only his fourth game.

In the second inning, they scored three runs thanks to a timely hit by Tamiya, and still had runners on first and second with two outs. On a 3-1 count, he hit a 149 km/h pitch from Lotte's starting pitcher Kimura into the right-center field stands.

Regarding his third home run of the season, a three-run shot, which was his second in two games, he commented, "In the previous series against The Hawks, I couldn't get a hit when I had the chance, so today I went into the game determined to get a hit when I had the chance. I'm glad I was able to get a hit by riding the momentum of the team."

Reyes followed with another home run, bringing the team's total to 10. This broke the previous club record of 8 home runs in the first four games of the season, setting a new record.
