Nippon-Ham lost a chaotic game, resulting in their first three-game losing streak to start the season since 2022.

Starting pitcher Arihara gave up the first run in the first inning on a timely doble to left-center field by Yanagimachi, and then gave up three more runs in the second inning after the team took the lead, due to three consecutive hits and a battery error. He continued to give up runs in the third and fourth innings, and in his first appearance since joining the team, he suffered his first loss, giving up 10 hit runs 5 earned) in 6 innings.

The batting lineup saw key players like Manami, Kiyomiya Yuki, and Gunji hit home runs, but they were all solo shots. They had vowed to get revenge for last season's CS final stage loss in the opening three-game series, but suffered a surprising sweep, getting off to a tough start.

Manager Shinjo looked ahead, saying, "I'd like to have Ito, Tatsuya, and Arihara pitch (as starters in the three-game series), and I want to make this a season where we can say that we were able to reach the top because of these three consecutive losses."
