Softbank Hawks 's Moinelo

Softbank Hawks Hawks pitcher Livan Moinelo, who represented Cuba in the World Baseball Classic, arrived in Japan on the 26th.

The Cuban national team had been eliminated from the first round after their game against Canada on March 12, but the country had experienced several large-scale power outages due to a serious fuel shortage, and it had been difficult to contact the outside world. Because of the delay in joining the team, the left arm of last season's MVP of the Pacific League has already been removed from the opening day rotation. Coach Shinji Kurano pitcher said on the 23rd that he plans to arrive before the opening day of the season.

On this day, a press conference was held ahead of the opening game against Nippon-Ham on the 27th (at Mizuho PayPay Stadium), where manager Kokubo revealed, "It seems Moinelo has finally arrived in Japan. We don't know when he will pitch, but we will discuss it later."

He is scheduled to visit the stadium later that day to speak with manager Kokubo.
