Rakuten Eagles announced on the 26th that actress Shiori Kubo, who is from Miyagi Prefecture, will throw the ceremonial first pitch at their game against Softbank Hawks on May 16th.

Shiori Kubo will be making her sixth appearance at the stadium, and her fourth consecutive year since 2023. On the day of the event, she will be making an appearance at the ceremonial first pitch and will also be participating in various other events. Furthermore, the "EXCITING Series" will be held on the day. The "Third jersey 2026," featuring silhouettes of the six Tohoku prefectures, will be given to the first 15,000 people who have a ticket to watch the game.
