Nippon-Ham of Shu Yamagata (Yamagata Shu) infielder and a classmate, a TBS announcer who "played second fiddle in high school". He uploaded his first interview with Yamagata.

On the 23rd, announcer Koki Nakatani posted on Instagram, "I interviewed Hide Yamagata, a player for Hokkaido Nippon-Ham Fighters and a classmate of Shu Yamagata from Waseda University Senior High School and Waseda University." Nakatani was born in Matsue City, Shimane Prefecture, and raised in Osaka City, Osaka Prefecture. He went on to Waseda University Senior High School and then to the Faculty of Law at Waseda University. He joined TBS in April 2013.

"I played second base with Yamagata in high school, and one of my dreams as an announcer, to interview him, has come true so soon!" he said with deep emotion. "I hope that someday I can do commentary on Yamagata's plays," he added, and then cheered on his classmate, "The interview will be released at a later date! I'll support you all the way. Fight on, Gatashu!"
