After dating for about six years, they submitted their marriage registration in March before the start of the season. "I'm happy to announce that I recently got married," he reported. "I will not forget my gratitude to all the fans who support me, and I will do my best to repay them with results, both for my fans and for my family who supports me," he promised.

He also posted photos of himself and his dog, Joe, on the beach. Yamazaki, a right-handed pitcher with a top speed of 160 km/h, is entering his milestone 10th year as a professional and is aiming for a complete comeback as a relief pitcher.
