Rakuten outfielder Rakuten Eagles Ryosuke Tatsumi, making his first appearance in a preseason game, hit two consecutive singles off his former teammate, Norimoto.

Tatsumi joined the 1st team on this day and started at 7th and center field. In his first at bat in the top of the 2nd inning, he hit a 145 km straight ball from count 1-1 to center field. In his next at bat, with one out in the 4th inning, he hit a 146 km/h straight ball from 1-2 in front of the left fielders.

Tatsumi joined the second team during spring training in February due to discomfort in his hip joint. In the farm league, he played in the first six games of the season, going 2-At Bat-20 hit the plate.
