On the 19th, Lotte announced that actor Yuki Morinaga (29) will throw out the ceremonial first pitch at their opening game against Seibu Lions at their home stadium, ZOZO Marine Stadium, on the 27th.

The game held on the same day was sponsored by Lotte Co., Ltd. as "XYLITOL presents 2026 OPENING GAME." Morinaga, which serves as the commercial character for Lotte's Xylitol gum and Xylitol Auratect gum, was given the important role of hosting the event.

Through the team, Morinaga pledged to give his all, saying, "I am deeply humbled to be given such an important pitch, but I will throw with all my might, as if I were pitching together with the fans, and with prayers for the players' win in mind!"
