Orix Buffaloes 's new foreign pitcher, Sean Jerry (formerly of the Giants), left the game after 5 innings, having allowed 3 hit and no runs. In the first inning, with one out, he allowed Shogo Nakamura to reach base on an error, and then with two outs, he gave up a single to Sasaki, putting runners on first and third. However, he managed to get Fabian closer a foul fly ball to stop the scoring. He finished the second inning with three up, three down.

In the third inning, with one out, he gave up a doble down the left field line to Omori, but he got Nakamura Sho to closer out to first base and Hirakawa to ground out to first base, keeping the score at runs. In the fourth inning, he walked Walk with two outs, but again closer the next batter out.
