Nippon-Ham Yuya Gunji, smiling, gets into the Mercedes G-Class that he was given a yearly usage right for.

Nippon-Ham catcher Yuya Gunji attended the vehicle presentation ceremony for the "T-by-T Garage Special Game MVP Award," which was awarded for the first game of the CS 1st Stage last year, held at Escon on the 17th.

In the first game of the CS First Stage against Orix Buffaloes, Gunji had two hit, including a home run, and one RBI. Along with Manami and Ito, he was selected for the MVP award and was presented with an annual pass for the Players Mobility Support Vehicle.

The vehicle presented was a Mercedes-Benz G-Class. Also known by its nickname "Geländewagen," TbyT Holdings Executive Officer Motoi Sekikawa said in his address, "We considered various car models, but since it's a car driven by people in professions that many people aspire to, we decided to provide the Mercedes-Benz Geländewagen, a car that many men have probably dreamed of owning at least once. We hope you will have a wonderful time in Hokkaido in this car."

After immediately sitting in the driver's seat and experiencing the ride, Gunji was in high spirits, saying, "I've always wanted one in the future, but I never thought it would arrive so soon. It's truly impressive. Since it's a G-Class, and my last name is also G, I'd like to go for the Gunji Class."
