Nippon-Ham Cuba's Ariel Martínez catcher (29), Taiwan's Ruei-Yang Gu Lin pitcher (25), and Yi-Lei Sun pitcher (21), who participated in the WBC with the Cuban team, have joined the first team.

Martinez, who rejoined the team in excellent form with a .462 batting average and one Home Run run in four games for the Cuban national team, said, "I missed everyone, so I'm glad to be back here." He showcased his good form by hitting multiple home runs during batting practice before the game.

Before practice, he was seen chatting with his former teammate from last season, Matsumoto of The Giants. "I told him how happy I was to see him again after so long, and asked him how things were going with his new team. I also told him thank you for all the help he'd given me regarding the necklace." Apparently, the necklace he wears regularly was provided to him by the manufacturer through Matsumoto, and he expressed his gratitude.
