Kenji Koshino and Tomotaka Sakaguchi, who appeared on "Professional baseball News 2026" broadcast on Fuji TV ONE on the 9th, mentioned Lotte's second-round draft pick, Kaito Mori (Meiji University).

Koshino said, "At the beginning of February, Manager Saburo said, 'It's going well.' The training camp has been going smoothly and we've been getting good results in exhibition games and external matches. I think what the manager said is correct."

Sakaguchi commented, "I'm looking forward to it. He can throw any ball over the base board. It's a given, but he's a rookie so it can be difficult, but he's able to throw every ball over home base. It makes hitter swing, so I think he's got guts and he's pitcher to look forward to."

Mori has pitched five innings in two exhibition games so far, with ERA of 3.60.
