Akio Saito, who appeared on "Professional baseball News 2026" broadcast on Fuji TV ONE on the 2nd, mentioned Softbank Hawks 's Stewart.

Saito speculated, "He didn't pitch for a whole year last year due to injury, so he's feeling motivated and has been throwing a lot of pitches in bullpen. His speed is over 150 km/h, so I think they have high expectations for him." He continued, "I'd like Stewart to pitch about 120 inning with about five days of rest in between innings. I think Manager Kokubo is thinking the same way."

He did not pitch in the first team last season due to injury, but with ace Kohei Arihara having transferred to Nippon-Ham this season, he is expected to play a role as a starter.
