On the 4th, Nippon-Ham announced the limited edition uniforms that will be worn during the "WE LOVE HOKKAIDO & FIGHTERS 2026" event at ESCON.
The concept is "the rich land of Hokkaido," and is based on respect for the food grown on the vast land, the farming that has been passed down through the generations, and the nature of Hokkaido that changes with the seasons. The brown color that represents the earth is used as the base, and the colorful colors of ingredients unique to Hokkaido are incorporated.
The press conference featured Yuya Gunji catcher and Shun Mizutani outfielder, who are on the cover of "anan", which goes on sale in late March. Given the theme of Hokkaido's bountiful harvest, Gunji said, "We too feel a commonality, as if our daily efforts bear fruit. I feel that this is the thought that was put into this project". Mizutani was asked what the key to wearing the uniform was, and he replied, "The coloring. I have never seen uniforms using these colors before, so I think it is a new idea that is typical of The Fighters. ground I think it would look cool if it got muddy baseball with mud on it.
The "WE LOVE HOKKAIDO" uniform will be worn in a total of 17 games, nine at home and eight away games, from June 30th to July 16th. Mizutani said, "I personally like the summer uniforms, so I hope we can continue that momentum this year." Gunji said, "I've stood on the podium in the limited edition uniform before. It feels like I can become a different version of myself, so I'm having fun, and I feel like things will go well this time too, so I'm looking forward to it."
