Nippon Nippon-Ham Fighters manager Tsuyoshi Shinjo was amazed at how well the batting lineup is doing on the 2nd. The team returned to Japan on the 1st after completing a trip to Taiwan, which they headed directly from their training camp. They held their first full practice at ESCON this season, and Reyes, Mannami, and others hit multiple balls over the fence during batting practice. Their first full practice at ESCON this season showed they're in good shape.

Manager Shinjo said, "It was so amazing it was scary. More (Reyes) hit the 23rd for Rakuten Eagles," pointing to September on the team's calendar displayed on the large screen behind left field. If he had hit it, he would have won 1.11 million yen in prize money, and the hit was almost the same line as Manager Shinjo's symbol, but it was a shot that far exceeded that.

The team's performance showed no signs of fatigue from the camp and away games, and the manager analyzed, "Maybe it's good that they're tired, everyone. They've relaxed. Maybe the fact that they've come back here makes them feel like, 'Let's hit it.'"
