On the 2nd, Seibu Lions announced that they will be distributing kids' glove designed by Manaya Nishikawa to all elementary school students and younger who attend the game against Softbank Hawks on May 5th.
Hoping to inspire children to love baseball, the organization distributes kids' glove to elementary school students and younger who attend games hosted around Children's Day every year. In the past, the organization has distributed glove designed by pitcher such as Sosuke Genda and Kona Takahashi, making this the sixth time it has done so. This year's glove were designed by Manaya Nishikawa, who won the Mitsui Golden Glove Award for the first time in the 2025 season.
The design is almost identical to glove Nishikawa plans to use this season, and the thumb area is printed with the name "Aiya," which is also embroidered on his own glove.

"glove I use on a daily basis has been faithfully reproduced. When I was little, I dreamed of becoming a professional baseball player, so I would be happy if these kids' glove inspire even one more child to experience the joy of catch and become interested in baseball. I hope you enjoy playing with a ball using these kids' glove."
