Starting at 1:00 p.m. on February 22nd, an exhibition game between Yokohama DeNA and Tohoku Rakuten Eagles will be held at Union Stadium Ginowan.
Tohoku Rakuten Eagles is focusing on players Naoki Sato and Daisuke Nakashima.
Sato started in the previous game (on the 21st against Chiba Lotte Marines) as the leadoff hitter and right fielder, and had two hit, including triple in his first at-bat. Last season, Sato played in a career-high 104 games for Fukuoka Softbank. Will he be able to secure a regular spot in his new team?
Nakajima started the game as the second batter and center fielder. He hit two consecutive RBIs and finished with two At Bat and three hit in three at RBI. In his second season last year, he reached the required number of at-bats, batting .266 with six Home Run, 31 RBI and 22 stolen base. He made a breakthrough by establishing himself as the leadoff hitter. He hopes to continue making an impact.
