Nippon-Ham s Kohei Arihara pitcher (33) entered camp for the fourth time bullpen in Nago, Okinawa, on March 22. He threw a total of 40 pitches: a straight ball, two seam fastball, a curveball, change-up, slider, and cutter. catcher Shindo, who is in his third year at the team, was in charge of the second pitching lineup. "I wanted to throw a variety of pitches, and since Shindo came to take my pitch, I threw it hoping to show him what kind of pitches I could throw," he said, looking back on his smooth adjustment.

Kaneko pitcher and the coordinator played a pitch while checking the ball muscles and grip. He is improving his slider, which he didn't throw much during his Softbank Hawks days, and said, "I want to change my slider a little bit, so I talked about various things during catch balls before pitching. Before the test launch of the slider, there was a scene where he told Shindo that he might not bend much. "I want to throw in the open game and think about it while thinking about it," he said, through trial and error.

Kaneko, who wielded a variety of breaking ball and won the Sawamura Award in 2014, was a teammate of his during his time with Nippon-Ham. "It's encouraging. Kaneko is really knowledgeable, and he was a pitcher who threw so many balls, so I'm glad that people are watching like this," he said, expressing his gratitude for Kaneko's presence.

Looking ahead to his first appearance of the season, he is looking ahead to pitching in a real game in Okinawa in February, saying, "First of all, I just need to be able to get strikeouts with a strong fastball, that's all."
