Softbank Hawks 's Haruto Fujiwara pitched in the Red vs. White game

Softbank Hawks 's right-handed pitcher Haruto Fujiwara, a third-year high school graduate, pitched a stunning two scoreless runs in the Red-White game of the A-group at the Miyazaki training camp, using his maximum 155 km/h fastball as a weapon. He made an appeal for being registered as a controlled player.

Naoyuki Uwasawa, who conducted joint voluntary training in Miyakojima, Okinawa, praised him, saying, "He was amazing even when we first practiced together. I think it's fascinating that he can throw a ball like that at such a young age, and I'm jealous." Starting catcher Takashi Umino, who faced him in the Red vs. White game (Walk), also praised him, saying, "He's the best. He's incredibly fast. Even though we know he's throwing a fastball, everyone is fouling or swinging. That's definitely a strength. I think he throws a good ball."
