Nippon-Ham infielder Kotaro Kiyomiya suffered an accident on the 19th. He traveled to Chatan, Okinawa, where a practice game was being held, on the team bus, but left the stadium without participating in pre-game practice.

Manager Tsuyoshi Shinjo revealed, "It seems there was some trouble while he was weighing in. It's not that he was injured, but he just felt something was bothering him."

When asked about the injury, he touched his elbow and other parts of his body and said, "Maybe it's the elbow? Maybe it's the shoulder? When I hear about the injury from the trainer, I get annoyed, so I stopped midway...I didn't really ask where the injury was. I was so focused on what I was doing that I didn't ask. At that point I was thinking about who to put in. That's the information."
