Orix Buffaloes 's new foreign player, infielder Bob Seymour, recorded his first hit in Japan on the 18th during a practice game at the Miyazaki training camp. Starting as the number two hitter and first baseman for the White team, in the first inning with no outs and a runner on first, he connected with Takashima's fourth pitch, cutter, on a 1-2 count, sending it to center field.

Aiming for a full recovery from a left ankle injury, Ryoma Nishikawa outfielder started in the white team's "No. 1, left field" position. In the first inning, he marked a hit breaking first base line from Takashima, and in the third defense inning, he put on an offensive and defensive show by handling Nishino's fly ball with his back to the plate.
