Nippon-Ham pitcher Kota Tatsu entered bullpen at the Nago camp on the 18th. He threw 37 pitches and checked the timing of his upper body.

In the game against Rakuten Eagles on the 15th (Kin Town), he pitched two innings, allowing two hit and no runs. During the season, there is usually a four-day gap between pitching appearances and bullpen, but "I do it during training camp. Once the season starts, I might have one or two between appearances. If it's not this time of year, I can't have two between appearances. I use training camp to check my form. I think of it as solidifying a form that I'll keep pitching for a year. When it's time to pitch, just throw, and I think throwing a lot will help me improve. That's what Nakamura Ryoji taught me," he said with a laugh.

On this day, Nakamura Ryoji, Tatsu's former teacher at Tenri University and currently the head coach at Daigakuin University, came to inspect the camp. Tatsu said with a smile, "There's a sense of tension. I think Edpolo (who joined the team from Daigakuin University) is also nervous (laughs). It really reminds me of my high school days. I think it's been since my third year of high school that I've been able to watch bullpen. I think. I feel more tension than during a game. I don't get nervous at all during games."
