Rakuten Eagles Eagles pitcher Kenta Maeda (37) took the mound for the first time since joining the team on the 16th at their training camp in Kin, Okinawa, participating in a live batting practice session.

He threw a total of 26 pitches to seven hitter, including Yoshino, and allowed zero hit, a good performance closer on, saying, "I was still a little tense and my pitches were a little inconsistent, but I think it was a really good first time on the mound."

His fastest pitch of the day was recorded at 151 km/h, and he was very satisfied, saying, "I'm not pitcher who relies on speed, but being able to throw with a good amount of speed is a good sign.I think it will feel good when my sense of the ball matches the speed of the ball."

As he was facing a teammate from his own team, the right-handed pitcher, who has a total of 165 wins in Japan and the United States, aimed to avoid hitting anyone with Hit by Pitch, and he drew laughter by saying, "The most important thing was not to injure my teammates, so I was able to clear that hurdle."

Manager Miki, who watched the match, expressed his expectations, saying, "I think they have a lot of experience and knowledge, so we will be considerate and respectful of that. The competition is during the season, so I hope they will make the necessary preparations for that."
