Seibu Lions infielder Taiyo Sato (23) missed practice at the Miyazaki Nango camp for the second consecutive day on the 16th due to poor health.
He joined Seibu Lions as the second pick in the 2012 development draft from Kanagawa University. In his rookie year, he was promoted to the regular team in July of last year, and played in 13 games with a batting average of .167, 0 Home Run, and 3 RBI.
