
Rakuten Eagles Eagles pitcher Kenta Maeda (37) took the mound for the first time since joining the team on the 16th at their training camp in Kin, Okinawa, participating in a live batting practice session.
When practice began just after 12:30 p.m., it was raining heavily, but by the time Maeda took the mound just after 2:25 p.m., the sun was peeking out from behind the clouds.
He threw a total of 26 pitches to seven hitter, closer a good performance with zero hit hits. After the game was over, the crowd in the stadium erupted in applause.
