Takahiro Saeki and Akio Saito, who appeared on "Professional baseball News 2026" broadcast on Fuji TV ONE on the 9th, spoke about Lotte's "Showa-style camp."

Saeki stated his opinion, saying, "In this day and age, there are people who say all sorts of things, but this is how I've always done it, and you learn by swinging. It builds stamina, and your body remembers. I think it's a type of practice that helps your body remember what to do automatically, without having to do anything but just hit the ball when it comes. It's also important to develop a form that allows you to do that, a form that won't break down for a year. I support this type of practice, but it's different for each person."

Saito expressed his expectations, saying, "They're professional athletes, but they may experience pain or stiffness during training camp, and the same can happen during the season, but this is the time when they need to learn their form. Manager Saburo said that if it hurts, he'll make them stop, but if they can move even a little, he'll keep them moving. I think Manager Saburo and Coach Nishioka will be a strong team again."
