"The most chocolates I received on Valentine's Day was when I was in junior high school; I got 12. In high school, I was so absorbed in baseball that I almost forgot about Valentine's Day. I've always loved Lotte's Koala's March, so I was happy to be able to take part in this event today, and I think it was a good opportunity to express my gratitude to the fans who support me every day. I want to continue to improve my skills and work hard to become a popular player on the team. If I do that, maybe I can break my record for Valentine's Day (laughs)."

I personally handed over copies of Koala's March to the local people who always support me, as a token of my gratitude. We have received a lot of support during the training camp, so I would like to turn that support into strength and do my best to produce good results."
