Seibu Lions infielder Tyler Nevin (28) will join the Nango Camp on the 14th. Due to family reasons, he will join from the fourth training camp. In his first season in Japan last year, he played in 137 games, batting .277 with 21 Home Run and 63 RBI.
Regarding the slugger, who was named to the Best Nine and Golden Glove awards for first baseman, manager Fumiya Nishiguchi (53) said, "I have high hopes for him, but he's been practicing normally and doing his best over there (in the US). I'm just watching over him."
"I hope he can perform at the same level as he did last year. I think the level of the players around him is gradually improving," said the manager, expressing his unwavering confidence in him.
