Nippon-Ham 's first-round draft pick, right-handed pitcher Jay Ohkawa (Meiji University), entered bullpen at the team's minor league camp in Kunigami on the 13th. He threw 11 pitches, getting ready for his first real game, the intrasquad game on the 14th in Nago.

He will take to mound without any worries. "Physically, I'm doing pretty well. (In my first real game) I want to focus on sticking to my own style and attack aggressively," he said confidently.

Ed Polo, the second-round draft pick who also started in the second team, produced good results in the game Hanshin Tigers on the 8th (at Nago) and was immediately promoted to the first team. "It was (Ed Polo) Kane who seized the one chance. I want to do my best tomorrow so that I can also seize the one chance," he said enthusiastically.
