Seibu Lions Rookies from Taiga Kojima catcher = Meiji University, Hakua Iwaki (Hakua) pitcher = Chuo University, Shun Akiyama outfielder = Chukyo University (all 22) received Valentine's Day chocolates from children at Rissho Children's School in Nango, the camp site, on December 12.
During the question time, a kindergartener asked Akiyama, "What's your favorite snack?" to which he replied, "I like Country Ma'am," naming Fujiya's chocolate chip cookies, creating a warm and relaxed atmosphere in the indoor practice area at the venue.
Kojima said, "I hope you will enjoy your kindergarten life every day and support Saitama Seibu Lions," and Iwaki said, "I hope you all eat a lot, sleep a lot, play a lot, and grow big."
Akiyama concluded by saying, "I hope everyone will do as much as they like of what they love. Please also support Saitama Seibu Lions."
