Orix Buffaloes development pitcher Kosuke Kawachi has withdrawn from practice. According to the team, he injured his right knee during defense practice. He has returned to his lodgings and is scheduled to visit a hospital after the 12th. Kawachi joined the team as the second pick in the 2023 draft from St. Catherine High School. He underwent Tommy John surgery on his right elbow in August 2024, was re-registered as a regular player, and made his return to action in the Phoenix League in October 2025.
