Mizuno hit the first pitch over the middle of the first pitch and hit a long hit, but he swung the following 10,000 waves struck out. After closer Yazawa to two grounders, he gave Walk to the new foreigner Castro, but in the end, he broke Mizuno's bat and finished it off with two grounders.

Ito reflected, "I think there's a feeling there that you can't get in bullpen, especially with breaking ball, but I was able to see the batter's reaction as he swung at me, so that was good. I was able to throw breaking ball with a good feeling. But I still think my fastball could do with a little more."

In the menu that was initially released, only Kitayama was included in the live BP. When asked why it was suddenly added, he explained, "I wanted to pitch to a batter, but I had been talking to Wataru for a while, and he told me, 'Let me know when you're going to do it,' but I found out this morning, so I decided to do it (laughs). I'm going to do it today."

Regarding what he gained, he said with a satisfied look, "I felt like I could control cutter at any time. I was able to get strikeouts from right-handed batters, so that's good." Looking ahead, he said, "The most important thing is to get used to it. My body is fine, so I'll keep throwing in games, checking my condition, and finding and overcoming issues each day."
