Seibu Lions Lions catcher Ginjiro Sumitani (38) revealed on the 5th that he is enjoying a fresh start to his first second-division training camp.

This spring marks his first time at second-division training camp since turning pro in the 2005 draft. During his voluntary training in January, he said, "I don't know how it's going to go," but he now says, "No problem, I'm doing well!" as he sweats his way through the training.

During defense practice that day, he sat behind the young catcher and gave him some advice. "It's the first time I've played baseball with these kids, so it's a new experience," he said, as the practice went smoothly.
