On the 3rd, Lotte announced that as part of the activities of their social contribution project "MARINES LINKS" on Monday, February 2nd, pitcher Hikaru Otani and Shunsuke Nakamori visited the Okinawa Prefectural Yaeyama Special Needs pitcher, and pitcher Yuto Yoshikawa and Yuta Ibaragi pitcher the Narasa Children's Home.

On the day, approximately 85 children and students (approximately 70 from Okinawa Prefectural Yaeyama Special Needs School and approximately 15 from Narasa Children's Home) were invited to participate in baseball experience, a Q&A session, and commemorative photo sessions, deepening their interactions with the players.

Furthermore, at the end of the exchange event, Lotte sweets were presented to the children and students by the players. The name "MARINES LINKS" reflects the desire to "LINK" all the people involved with Chiba Lotte Marines, including the The Marines players, fans, local residents, government agencies, and partner companies.

"I am truly grateful for this precious opportunity. Seeing the children perform their dance and dancing with such joy and enthusiasm reminded me of my own childlike spirit, which I had somehow forgotten. I want to give my all in the upcoming training camps and exhibition games so that I can show the children I met today how well I perform on ground."

▼Comment pitcher Yuto Yoshikawa

"Although it was only a short time, I was able to spend time with the children and it gave me a lot of energy. This was my first visit to this facility in two years, since 2024, when the number were still three digits, but this time I was very happy that they could see my new two-digit number and that I received such warm applause. I hope to perform even better this season and do my best so that I can give them another good report."
