Softbank Hawks catcher Yudai Yamamoto

Softbank Hawks catcher Yudai Yamamoto visited Mizuho PayPay Dome and revealed that he will fully resume training at a gym in Fukuoka City starting on the 9th. He stated, "I want to strengthen my physical condition, including my core. I expect it to be a demanding program."

After joining from DeNA via a trade in May this season, he appeared in 55 games. With a batting average of .267 and 6 Home Runs, he contributed to the second consecutive championship in Japan through both offense and defense. Nevertheless, as a member of a winning team boasting immense strength, there is no room for complacency. 'I have to level up, or it will be bad. There are many great players in The Hawks who could overtake me in an instant if I let my guard down. I want to increase my motivation so that I can finish another good season,' he said with a firm expression.

He plans to skip the victory trip to Hawaii due to family circumstances. After the New Year, he will conduct independent training in Guam and Okayama with his former DeNA teammate Keita Sano and others.
