Rakuten Eagles infielder Hiroto Kobukata announced on the 7th that he will remain with the team without exercising the domestic free agent rights he became eligible for this season.
Kobukata, who spoke to the press at Rakuten Eagles Mobile Saikyo Park during autumn training, said, "I have decided to play for The Eagles again next season. The main reason is that I want to be a source of strength for The Eagles."
