SMBC Japan Series 2026 Game 4: Softbank Hawks 4-2 DeNA (28th, Mizuho PayPay)

The Softbank Hawks players, who were crowned consecutive Japanese champions, held a beer-spraying celebration inside Mizuho PayPay Dome starting around 10:30 PM. Following a greeting from Manager Kokubo and others, the festivities began with a shout from Player Association Chairman Kurihara. They shared their joy at the victory celebration, where 3,000 bottles of beer, 20 bottles of sake, 4 barrels, 240 bottles of cola, and 1 bottle of champagne were prepared.

catcher Yudai Yamamoto, who joined the team in a trade from DeNA in May and helped them win the championship game against his former team, was deeply moved by the winning team's beer celebration. The linchpin of the team, who contributed to their fourth consecutive win with three RBI that day, repeatedly said "It's the best, it's the best," before adding with genuine feeling, "This is what it feels like to be rewarded."

Last year, due to a system failure at Asahi Group Holdings, a 'champagne fight' was held instead of the traditional beer shower. After winning the final stage of this year's Climax Series, the beer shower made its return.
