SMBC Japan Series 2026 Game 1
● DeNA 1 － 3 Softbank Hawks ○
＜October 24, Yokohama Stadium＞

Hatsuhiko Tsuji and Atsushi Kataoka, who appeared on 'Professional baseball News 2026' broadcast on Fuji TV ONE on the 24th, mentioned Softbank Hawks starter Naoyuki Uwasawa.

Uwasawa, who was entrusted with the start for the first game of the Japan Series, required many pitches and faced a crisis in the first inning, but from the second inning onward, he retired batters with a good rhythm, fulfilling his role by throwing 97 pitches over 7 innings with 6 hits allowed, 4 strike outs, and 0 runs.

Mr. Tsuji praised him, saying, "He was wonderful," and Mr. Kataoka evaluated him, saying, "I was worried about his start, but he is able to make adjustments during the game. I think he is a pitcher who can win. He has experience, and the fact that he was able to deliver a good performance in such an important first game is significant for both him and the team."
