Coming to the plate for his third at-bat with one out in the top of the sixth inning, he swung at the sixth pitch with a count of 2-2. He hit a breaking ball for a foul toward the first-base side, but immediately after, he showed a gesture of concern for his left ankle. Although he made a face as if clenching his teeth, he remained in the batter's box and grounded out to second on the following pitch. Nevertheless, he ran out to right field for the subsequent defense, suggesting that the situation did not turn out to be serious.
